Ideas For Short Haircuts For Curly Hair
Since Sophie was born I have discovered I have a lot to learn about short haircuts for curly hair over the next several years. But I know it's going to be fun to try new things I've never had to do to my hair before.
You see, I never imagined I would have a little girl with curly hair since my hair is as straight as it could be. It would seem however that my daughter has inherited her father's hair which is really curly. That means I now have to start learning how to get her hair styled to get it to look its best and make it easily manageable for both of us.
Right now, my daughter is only four, so it is easy enough to do with her hair what I want. That being said, it would be nice to know what I have to look forward to having to do with her hair. I've found out from doing some initial reading about short haircuts for curly hair how different the makeup of curly hair is compared to straight hair. The different structure of the hair itself requires me to learn about products that are all new to me. Seems I need to learn what the best products are, what are necessary and how to use them in the best way.
I learned that curly hair requires more moisturizing treatments than straight hair. If curly hair becomes dried out, it will frizz and cause it to look terrible. It was explained to me that curly hair does not sit on the scalp well and that keeps the hair from taking in the natural oils of the scalp. For that reason I make sure Sophie’s hair has plenty of hydrating conditioner applied to it.
I looked through what was probably hundreds of pictures of short haircuts for curly hair and found several that I really did like. I had thought that I would keep my daughter's hair long while she is young, but after seeing the photos of some of the shorter hair styles, I am having second thoughts.
The styles that I looked at were so cute and sassy. My daughter has the cute and sassy personality and I thought that the hair style would fit her perfectly. I ended up printing out a picture of the style and taking it to the lady that I have do my hair. She took a couple of minutes to look at the picture and examined my daughter's hair and told me that it was totally doable. She explained that I would not have as hard of a time with my daughter's hair if it was styled that way because I would not have to battle with the brush each time she got a bath.
I have saved several different styles to my computer so that I can easily reference them in the future. With so many cute looks to choose from, I am sure that she will be changing the look of her hair quite often.

It is very nice to be able to go to the computer, click over to YouTube and learn as much about nearly every topic including short cuts for curly hair as you might need. I do not know what I would have done if it was not for the Internet teaching me how to care for my daughter's hair.
